Shrimp Boil Made Easy

Who doesn't love a shrimp boil with lots of juicy shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage? Yummy! The only problem is, all that water seems to take out some of the flavor, not to mention that it is messy! How do you solve that problem? Do like we did last night and make a shrimp boil in an aluminum foil packet.

1lb of large shrimp

2 ears of corn (cut each ear into 4ths

small fresh potatoes in a steaming bag

smoked sausage

Irish butter with canola oil

Old Bay Seasoning

2 Tbls of beer for each packet or 2Tbls of water

Clean and devain the shrimp by taking a knife and slitting open the top part of the shell and remove the vain. Place in a bowl. Cut the corn into fourths and divide among four pieces of foil. Steam the potatoes in the bag in the microwave for 5 minutes let cool and cut the potatoes in half. Divide the potatoes among the 4 packets. Cut the sausage into thin slices and divide among the packets. Place the shrimp on top of the vegtables and sprinkle with Old Bay. Add the beer or water. Put on a couple spoon fulls of butter and seal each packet. Place in a 425 degree oven for 15 to 17 minutes. Serve with cocktail sauce and extra Old Bay. Enjoy! :)
